Excitement, wonder, magic, festive cheer – all brought by the returning and much-anticipated Christmas trains for the third time!
- The trains start running on 1 December.
- The trains end running on 7 January.
This year, festive-minded passengers will be able to choose from three trains running on three routes across the country – the most popular connections between Vilnius and Kaunas and Vilnius and Klaipėda, as well as the joint route to Warsaw on the train from Vilnius to Mockava, which is being offered by Go Vilnius.
As part of a winter tradition, this is the third year that some of the décor elements will be used on the trains. They will be brought to life with patterns and lighting inspired by vintage trains, antique shops and other story-telling items.
According to LTG Link, over 74,470 thousand people travelled on festive trains in the last two years. Of these, almost 14,543 thousand people chose to switch from travelling in their own vehicles to travelling by train.
